Members of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS) endorsed the first-ever Voluntary Guidelines on Food Systems and Nutrition aiming to support countries and others in their efforts to eradicate all forms of hunger and malnutrition by utilizing a comprehensive food systems approach.
Beginning late last week, 180 first responders from the International Organization for Migration (OIM) and the UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), as well as a small number of first responders from the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF), the World Food Programme (WFP), and FAO, were vaccinated in the headquarters of FAO by its medical team.
/by FAO-Newsroom The 34th session of FAO's Committee on Fisheries (COFI34) ended its week-long meeting on Friday with its Members endorsing the first-ever Declaration for Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture, urging stronger action to combat illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing, and stressing the importance of recovering from impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
